In roundabouts, squares, or intersections where there is a central island, traffic must proceed in such a way as to go around this island on the right side, which means that the central part of the island must always remain to the driver's left (keep the central island to the left). The option referring to the shortest path is incorrect, because traffic must follow the established traffic rules and the mandatory rotary direction, and it is not permitted to cut across or drive in the opposite direction. The option indicating driving on the left side is also incorrect, since in Portugal, traffic drives on the right side of the road, going around the roundabout counter-clockwise.
