When approaching a pedestrian crossing, or when a pedestrian starts crossing the roadway, the driver must reduce speed and, if necessary, stop to give way to the pedestrian. The safety of vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians, is a priority on public roads. One should not impede or hinder the pedestrian's crossing, so trying to prevent them from finishing crossing would be incorrect and dangerous. The use of audible signals is also not appropriate in this situation, as audible signals should only be used in case of imminent danger, not to rush or intimidate pedestrians.
