Stopping and parking on marked pedestrian crossings are strictly prohibited. This prohibition aims to ensure the safety and visibility of pedestrians crossing the roadway, so the driver cannot stop the vehicle on the pedestrian crossing under any circumstances. The use of hazard lights does not legitimize any infraction nor does it permit stopping in prohibited places. Similarly, stopping for the entry or exit of passengers is also prohibited on pedestrian crossings, as it obstructs the crossing and endangers the safety of vulnerable users.
