Alcohol negatively affects the driver's cognitive and motor skills, slowing down their decision-making and physical response processes. Consequently, the time elapsed between perceiving a danger and initiating braking or evasive action (reaction time) increases significantly.Conversely, a decrease in reaction time would mean a faster response, which does not happen under the influence of alcohol. Similarly, the driver's reflexes diminish and become less precise, not the opposite.
