Can I drive on or cross this road marking?

The road marking on the left side of our lane is a double line, composed of a continuous line and a broken line. According to traffic rules, the driver must respect the line closest to their direction of travel. Since the broken line is on our side, it is permitted to drive on or cross this marking whenever necessary to perform maneuvers, such as overtaking vehicles in front of us. The statement that it is never permitted to cross the line is incorrect, as this prohibition would only apply if the continuous line were on our side. Similarly, permission to cross the road marking is not conditioned by the state of the road surface, so the limitation to dry pavement has no regulatory basis.
