The driver of an ambulance, being an emergency or urgent service vehicle, is subject to stricter alcohol limits than the general regime. For these drivers, a blood alcohol level equal to or greater than 0.5 g/l and less than 1.2 g/l is classified as a very serious offense. Thus, driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.7 g/l falls within this infraction. Blood alcohol levels of 0.2 g/l and 0.4 g/l fall within the range equal to or greater than 0.2 g/l and less than 0.5 g/l. For this special group of drivers, values within this range constitute only a serious offense, and not a very serious one.
