At an intersection or junction where there is no signage regulating the right of way, the general rule of priority to the right applies. As the dark light vehicle is to our left, we are to its right, so our vehicle has priority and should proceed first. The car on the left should not proceed first because, as we are to its right, it has the duty to give way to us. The rule of whoever arrives at the intersection first has no place in Portuguese road legislation to define the right of way, which invalidates the other options.
