In case of forced immobilization of the vehicle due to a breakdown or accident, the driver's first and most important obligation is to ensure road safety by adequately signaling the vehicle's presence to other road users. This signaling must be done by using the hazard warning lights and placing the pre-signaling danger sign at the regulatory distance, as shown in the image. The other options are incorrect because immediately calling a tow truck is not the first measure to take, nor is it mandatory in all situations, as the breakdown may be easy to resolve. Additionally, waiting for the tow truck without correctly signaling the location with the pre-signaling triangle endangers the safety of all road users.
