During the day, in conditions of reduced or insufficient visibility, as happens on rainy days, drivers of vehicles in circulation must use dipped headlights (low beams) to signal the presence of the vehicle and ensure they are seen by other road users. Parking lights (side lights) are only intended to signal the presence and width of the vehicle when it is stopped or parked, and it is not permitted to drive with only these lights on. High beams should not be used in this situation, as they would dazzle the driver of the vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
