The vertical sign visible on the right is the give way sign for road narrowing. This sign indicates that the driver must give way to vehicles coming from the opposite direction, as the red arrow represents our direction of travel and the black arrow represents the opposite direction, which has priority. We must not proceed first because we do not have priority. Stopping only becomes mandatory if it is necessary to allow the passage of the vehicle coming from the opposite direction, not being an absolute and unconditional imposition like that of a mandatory stop sign at an intersection.
